Pan Am

We were obviously excited to hear that the new Pan Am television show on ABC needed a custom Magento website to sell vintage bags and accessories. The only gotcha was that it needed to be done in 4 weeks, right before for the show’s premiere. Fortunately for us, we knew how to make this happen. The first thing we did was build a detailed plan quickly, in fact within a couple of days, including all the extensions to cover their desired functionality. KeathlyAd designed the site according to the plan which made things easy for us because the vision was clear with all parties involved.

The plan was the easy part. The hard part was putting it all together and really fast. Its always the little things that hold up a project like this, such as getting design approval, product images, and product details. Because of the short time frame, we entered the products in for the client and then provided a detailed document, outlining the upload process. In the end we are proud of the site. We used some pretty nice Magento extensions including One Step Checkout, Gift Certificates and a nice Store Locator extension that worked exactly how the client wanted it.

The launch for the show came and we were amazed by the traffic that came with it.  So, our next challenge was increasing the hosting and optimizing our servers to handle the load, allowing it to run like a champ. It was a high stress job, but we felt it was worth it in the end and we hope the show is a smash hit.
